I have a question. I did 2 DBAs and only got one EIN under business A and not B. So when the letter from the IRS came in it was under Business A. Business A is Marketing Business B is dancing. Lol. Do they need two separate EINs? I'm a little new to this lol

I have a trucking company I started in San Antonio, TX with just me on it. Then, me and my wife have a Brokerage also started in same state. She has 3 years left in military and the plan is to move back to our home town Sikeston, Mo where we actually have a building to run both business out of. What's best course of action? We were thinking of creating a management company in Missouri.

Hi there! Question~ how much later on in the process are the rest of the filing fees due, when filing the TEAS standard application? Is the standard version technically less of a financial risk, since the fees for multiple categories aren't all due up front-- (even though it's more expensive per category than TEAS+)? I'm stressing about whether to file my TM in multiple categories, or just try getting my TM registered in my primary category first. Thank You!

One question; I had a California single member llc and recently completed the articles of conversion for the state of Florida when I changed residency. If I understand correctly, since I will no longer be conducting business in California and the llc is in good standing, then I only need to file the certificate of cancellation in California. Is this correct? Thanks again for all the great content!

Im just starting out with my hvac business and when I applied for my license I chose corporation. Now I don't know if I should of gone LLC or S corp. I was setup as C corp and I did have to pay that double tax and im a single owner lol. What advice can you give me, should I stay as a corporation? My sales are online, and promptly in a store. Do I need it to pick one class or two classes? One for shoes and another for retail and online? Which Class and Term ID do I have to choose?. I've posted this question on a few business channels looking for one person to know the answer so I can move forward 🥹: If I have registered my business with a DBA/sole proprietor and I set up a virtual mailing address, will ALL my mail (business and personal) now be forwarded to the virtual mailing address, including amazon packages etc.? Does going through the notary process and transferring my mail mean there is no longer a separation between personal and business mail since I'm a sole proprietor? This is my only reservation about setting up a virtual mailing address. I would like a way to keep a separation between my business and personal mail.

If I hardly work, how can I prove that? The idea of an s corp for me seems great because my business is set up to , for the most part, run itself. But in the event of an audit, will I be forced to pay myself a higher salary without proving that I basically do little to no work? I'm a bit confused on that. I'm afraid my distribution to salary ratio will be very skewed but what can I do when I put at most an hour or two a week into my work? Do I need to be paying myself thousands of dollars per hour of salaried work?
